Study area
The study has been conducted in Doline Wetland in Mungyeong city of South Korea. It is a protected area near the summit of the Gulbongsan mountain. It has been chosen to limit the effect of the human presence.
Sampling method
- Data gathered from May 2023 to January 2024
- 14 camera traps were placed around the area. The camera were set to be operational all day. They were programmed to take 2 minutes video with a time lapse of 30 seconds between consecutive activation following the detection of movement by the camera sensors.
- The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), also called vegetation density was recorded using a drone and using online satellite pictures from EarthExplorer. The analysis of the satellite and drone data have been made on PIX4Dmapper and ArcGIS programs.
- Other environmental data were gathered from the Korea Meteorological Administration and Camera
