Recycling horse manure:
nutrient source for crops, and energy source for humans
I have been involved in science projects where the results might come to use eventually, if ever… I was looking for something relevant for people now, and connected to the society at large. Because nothing happens in a vacume, not even nature.

The topic I found was shit, horse shit to be exact. It turned out that horses were very appreciated, but the horse manure did not always have a place to go. The risk being nutrient leching. Nutrient leaching is known to cause detrimental chain reactions in the Baltic Sea for example, so it felt like an opportunity to make a difference.
