Food preferences and nutrient composition in captive white-faced sakis (Pithecia pithecia)
Are you trying to avoid calories and lipids in your diet? Let me tell you about this little Neotropical monkey that loves to eat anything that has high amounts of fat.
For my thesis I decided to continue a series of food preference studies and explore what would a frugivorous seed predator base their diet on. White-faced sakis are a great candidate to study since they are known for exploiting unripe fruits and seeds, a behavior not very common among traditional frugivorous species.
