Short-term effects of play stimulation in commercial hatchery-stressed chickens

Hello there! I’m Perrine, an animal enthusiast with a particular soft spot for all feathered friends !

My scientific education has been focused on animal physiology and cellular biology, but it was through studying ethology that I really found my passion. I’m fascinated by the complex behaviors and social dynamics of animals, and will continue to be amazed by the intelligence and adaptability of every creature around us.

But that’s not all there is to me – I’m also an adventurous and lively individual who relishes exploring the world. When I’m not on the road, I find great joy in music and the arts, which I find to be both creatively stimulating and emotionally nourishing.

This photo shows the one-day-old chicks used in the experiments.
