Habitat Preferences of the Marsh Fritillary Butterfly (Euphydryas aurinia) and the Potential for Habitat Restoration on Gotland

Hi there! I’m Clare, originally from Germany, but I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Innsbruck in Austria. I am currently about to graduate from the Master’s programme in Ecology and Sustainable Development here at LiU.
As someone who is passionate about conservation, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to conduct my Master’s thesis on the marsh fritillary (Euphydryas aurinia), a beautiful butterfly on the Swedish island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea. My study focused on monitoring their metapopulation and evaluating the success of restoration efforts, with a particular emphasis on their habitat preferences.
Thank you for visiting my website and enjoy reading!
