Results

The treatment group spent significantly more time sitting during the treatment period compared to the control group. Notably, the treatment group sat more during the treatment period compared to the control group, and they also spent the most time sitting after the treatment period, during which they spent more time sitting than the control group (P=0.037).

The treatment group whined more overall compared to the control group, but they whined less during the audiobook exposure than before, and then spent more time whining in the days after audiobook exposure (P=<.001).

In some cases, both the treatment group and control group displayed similar changes in behavior:

  • Both groups barked more during and after treatment compared to before
  • Both groups spent less time standing during the treatment compared to before and after
  • Both groups spent less time moving during the treatment compared to before and after

It is also worth noting that:

  • The treatment group spent more time barking after the treatment compared to the control group
  • The treatment group spent more time moving after the treatment compared to the control group
