Can the lion sleep tonight?

The impact of safari tourism on the behaviour
of lions (Panthera leo) and leopards (Panthera
pardus) in Queen Elizabeth NP, Uganda

Welcome!

I am Anna Engelmann, an Austrian big cat and nature conservation enthusiast.

For my master’s thesis project with LiU, I collaborated with the Uganda Carnivore Program (UCP) to look at the various impacts that safari tourism has on the behaviour of lions and leopards in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

This unique experience has yielded significant results with big implications for tourism management, which are presented on this webpage.

I am of course available for discussions – If you have any questions about the project, don’t hesitate to contact me.
